Invitation: Cloudscape One Year Anniversary & Beyond
Southport Flower Show Announcement & More..
Hi Everyone!
Let me know your answer to the poll below so I can help make this newsletter the best for you! Feel free to comment below your reasoning :)
I wasn’t active much on socials last week. However, there’s lots of work going on behind the scenes here at Cloud Gardener UK. Todays newsletter containers some of the projects I’ve been working on over the past week or so. There is plenty more to come as I am deeply committed to making sure that people from all ages find a way to connect to nature in urban spaces.
Southport Flower Show Announcement..
Above: Southport Flower Show Announcement. Find out more about the Southport Flower Show
I am deeply honoured to have been asked to create a garden at the Southport Flower Show this year. Schools across the region will have the opportunity to send in their applications for a 6m x 6m garden. Along with with fellow judges from Mersey Rail, Northern Lily & North West In Bloom will select a winner. I will then have 6 weeks to turn the winning design into a real life show garden at the show. The garden will then be relocated to a local school.
I’ll be keeping you up to date with the progress of the garden on my Youtube channel and also look forward to working with Victoria Holden from Northen Lily and North West In Bloom to bring this garden to life.

Flower Show Series Returns To Youtube
This year, I’ll be bringing back my “Cloud Gardener x Flower Show” series to Youtube. This series centres around you guys, as I snoop around the flower shows hunting down small space gardening ideas, hearing directly from the designers and getting the fascinating insights behind their creations. I also tackle some of the big gardens and break them down to help you create your own special spaces.
If you haven’t already, check out the series below as I have full access to the gardens & can film them up close and personal, so armed with fresh insights from the designers themselves, it will give you a completely different perspective on each garden we visit.
Invitation: Cloudscape One Year Anniversary & Beyond

I’m excited to be delivering a free talk on the one year anniversary of my Royal Horticultural Society Urban Show feature exhibit, "Cloudscape". Cloudscape was my vision of how we could bring communities, developers and local authorities together to make our towns and cities greener.
I was successfully able to use the exhibit, as part of my application for the Churchill Fellowship, I travelled across Europe & Asia (China/Singapore) studying how to make our towns and cities greener. I was able to find real examples of Cloudscape in practice and will share some of my findings including, aquaponic community gardens, roof gardens in Hong Kong, urban planning in China & sponge parks/cities. I'll share how we can improve urban greening in the UK during the talk at Manchester Museum, on the 16th April.

I look forward to seeing some of you there.
Lastly…
Did you catch me on Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club last week? I visited a resilient community in Toxteth, Liverpool where I met the designer and the community of one of the most unique community gardens in the country. It’s an indoor winter garden.
Granby Winter Garden is steeped in history and is a real testament to the amazing individuals involved.
Click here to view on catch up via ITVX. The show airs on Mondays at 2pm on ITV1.
Have a great week!
