I have a special treat for you this weekend. I have not too long returned from London and decided to take you with me on a tour around Kew Gardens on a wet, windy, rainy miserable day! In this video I go on a hunt for my favourite plant and we stop off at a few different features within Kew Gardens along the way.
I visited last year to see the kitchen garden but I didn’t get the chance to explore the whole gardens. I was really surprised to learn just how big the site was. I got a tip that one of my favourite plants was housed somewhere in Kew so I decided to go on a hunt for it. We stop off at one of the oldest rock gardens in the world, visit some alpines and go on a tour of some rare houseplants. It’s a long video but can you believe, we didn’t even see half of Kew Gardens. I am going to have to come back and do a part 2.
At some points, I felt like I was walking through a jungle and I must confess I did get a little emotional at one point. I was slightly overwhelmed by just how large and beautiful some of these plants were.
Make sure you stay tuned until the very end to see how my “hay fever” lead to an unfortunate mishap…
If you have been before let me know below which is your favourite part and let’s see if we can encourage others to head down too! If you would like to visit Kew click below:

Thanks for this great video! I love Kew and am lucky enough to be able to go several times a year (well, it's not really luck - I pay for annual membership so I 'have' to go to make sure I get my money's worth 😉)
I remember seeing lizards in the Princess of Wales' greenhouse once. Apparently they helped deal with the cockroaches 😬. Haven't seen them for a while though so maybe they've found another solution.
